Many Muslims in the US may perceive it that way. Many have claimed they were targeted for investigations, just because they are Muslims or that they belong to certain mosques. However, perception is not reality. I don’t think the evidence is there to prove or disprove it. However, we know that perceptions of muslims by Americans became very negative in the aftermath of September 11. I till remember this lady at the McCain campaign rally claiming that she could not trust Obama because he was an Arab. The question now is what can US Muslims do to combat this negative image?
